5 reasons to apply for the Affordable Connectivity Program:
Head over to AffordableConnectivity.gov to either submit your application online or print and mail in a paper application. Once your application is approved, a representative will assist you in selecting a plan and applying your discount with an internet service provider of your choice.
ACP offers eligible households the chance to get home internet at a free or reduced cost. This includes discounts on internet bills or connected devices from select providers.
If you choose a home internet plan that is $30/month or less, you can use your benefit for FREE SERVICE. If you choose a home internet plan that’s more than $30, you’ll get receive $30 off that plan.
You may be eligible if your household is below 200% of the Federal Poverty Line or if you live with someone who receives a government benefit listed.
It may take one or two billing cycles for your ACP discount to appear.
Yes, people residing in other counties may qualify for ACP. It is a federal program that the Federal Communications Commission administers.
No, only one monthly service discount and one device discount is allowed per household. A household is a group of people who live together and share money; therefore, two unrelated roommates who do not share money qualify as two separate households and so, each can apply for the ACP benefit.
